Can you tell us about you and Rocket and Rollie?
Outside of work, my husband and I enjoy exploring nature - we are currently on a mission to visit all National Parks! We have lived in Colorado for almost 12 years and feel like we have barely scratched the surface of beautiful sights to see!
My rabbits, Rocket and Rollie (named after characters in a favorite movie and TV show), are brothers who had been living in separate rescue foster homes until we brought them home this past summer. It has been beyond rewarding to see their sweet relationship blossom as they settle into their new, forever digs.

How did you get into house rabbit rescuing & why is Hoppy Clover Rabbit Rescue important to you?
The house rabbit community is relatively new to me. In fact, I only recently discovered that rabbits make phenomenal pets. I have always been an animal lover, forever impressed with their innocence and ability to provide unconditional love. During a mindless search on Craigslist one day, I came across a rehoming ad for a bunny. Curious, over the next week, I learned everything I could about these unique creatures, quickly realizing that I had so many misconceptions about their habits and care requirements. After visiting a rabbit rescue in my hometown of St. Louis, Missouri and taking their educational rabbit care course, I knew I was ready to open my heart to these furry, long-eared animals.
After that, my passion for rabbits came very quickly and I immediately knew I wanted to expand my involvement with them beyond “bun mom.” Add that to a desire for fulfillment outside of my 9 to 5 with the incredible local opportunities to volunteer and support house rabbit rescues and I have landed here with HCRR!
What is your role at HCRR?
I am HCRR’s Outreach Coordinator, but I’m always looking for opportunities to support our team - whether it is creating flyers for a fundraiser or picking up and delivering donated supplies. My primary role is to establish relationships and connect with like-minded individuals and companies in support of our mission. I also enjoy being responsible for getting this newsletter into the hands of our subscribers ever month!
This is just the beginning of an incredible rescue and I could not be more excited to be a part of it!
