Dear Friends of the Clover,
It has been an exciting time for Hoppy Clover Rabbit Rescue (“HCRR”)! Big news from the Clover patch - early last month, we welcomed our first rescue rabbits. Three rabbits from a rescue mission in Utah made it safely to Colorado thanks to transportation by Bunnies on Board. These perfectly adorable buns - bonded pair Rowan and Paddy, and the luxurious brown-furred Toffee - bring with them their own unique, furry personalities! It has been amazing to get to know them and we are overjoyed to be a short stop on their journeys to their forever homes. Follow us on social media for more on their hopeful stories.

We are confident that these are the first of many rabbits HCRR is able to provide with life-changing love and care. But, we can’t do it without your help. From fostering to monetary donations, every bit of support counts!
Here’s to the lucky ones—every rescued rabbit and every human with the heart to save them.
With our sincerest gratitude,
The Hoppy Clover Rabbit Rescue Team

🍀 Adoption Announcement 🍀
Toffee

Toffee, a two-year old Rex mix with velvety fur, hopped into HCRR as one of our first three
rescue rabbits. Just a few days later, he stole the hearts of his new family, even going on a speed date to meet his potential new bondmate, Traveller. It was love at first sight for everyone! Toffee and Traveller will soon be bonded and we cannot be more thrilled for Toffee’s happily ever after!

Finding loving, forever homes is at the heart of what we do at HCRR and, as our rescue grows, we hope to continue to bring you adoption
announcements! As a foster-based rescue, we are depending on those in the Colorado house rabbit community opening their homes as foster families. HCRR provides all of the supplies and resources you need and can teach bunny basics to anyone willing to learn. If you are interested in fostering, please apply at the link below.
🍂 Simmer Pot 🍂
Lucky Bun-Pourri*
Fall is here, bringing cravings for familiar holiday scents - cinnamon, nutmeg and pumpkin pie! But, if you have a pet rabbit, you know that strong and artificial fragrances can be dangerous to their health. Bunnies have sensitive respiratory systems! Simmer pots (aka stovetop potpourri) with bunny-safe ingredients are a great alternative to candles, plug-ins and essential oils, while still welcoming that familiar, cozy, fall aroma into your home.
Ingredients:
1 red apple, sliced
1 orange, sliced
3 cinnamon sticks
2 springs fresh rosemary
Instructions:
Place all ingredients into a cooktop-safe pot or slowcooker and fill with water so that everything is completely submerged. If using a pot, use a electric single burner hot plate. Heat water to a low simmer.
Tips:
Modify ingredients to personal preference.
Never leave a simmer pot unattended.
Add water to pot as it evaporates, keeping ingredients submerged.
🍀 Volunteer Spotlight 🍀

Melanie Kim is an integral part of the HCRR team and the very first volunteer to join our President in the creation of our rescue. Read on to learn more about Melanie!
Can you tell us about you and the Bean & Rice Bowl?
Hello, hello Clover Crew 🍀 I am honored to kick off the Volunteer Spotlight for HCRR! 🐇
My name is Melanie, and I own two mini-lop buns named Kkong & Bop. My two buns are named after Korean food names - Kkong & Bop. Kkong means Bean & Bop means Rice, together, Kkong Bop 🫘🍚 - my Bean & Rice Bowl. I’m a very short and

simple person when it comes to bios because this is the section where I have brain-farts 🥸BUT give me a random topic, and I can most likely start with the topic and then go down into many different rabbit holes until I stop talking.😅
How did you get into house rabbit rescuing & why is Hoppy Clover Rabbit Rescue important to you?
Hoppy Clover Rabbit Rescue is actually the first rescue work I’ve ever been a part of. I have been itching to do something more with my time and invest in a cause I wanted to stand behind, see grow, and be a part of. It wasn’t until I saw the very first announcement of HCRR, and I was like “Yes, I can totally get behind the mission and support.” Being that HCRR was literally starting from the ground up and getting the organization up and running - I wanted to give it my all and provide all my expertise in the new/start up/growing organization space. It’s very rewarding to see such excitement and the passion coming from the top *ahem* Erin *ahem*. I am very excited to be a part of HCRR’s journey and see the stories unfold with every rabbit we can support and provide the love and care they deserve.
What is your role at HCRR?
I am best described as the “behind the scenes” volunteer that does a little bit of everything & making sure nothing breaks 😅. I primarily make sure everything operates smoothly for this small, but mighty organization - such as managing all the IT/software platforms, creating all the automations and workflows/administrative infrastructures, and special projects/campaigns. If you were surprised with how fast the HCRR website was up and running since the start up announcement, that was me 🙋🏻🫶Words cannot describe how proud I am to be a part of this growing rescue! ✨🍀✨
